Interests & Experiences
Do you currently live in Yountville? Yes
Are you registered to vote in Yountville? Yes
Why do you want to serve on this Board, Commission, or Committee? I have a deep appreciation for our parks and recreational activities and want to continue contributing to their growth and accessibility. Having served two terms on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission, including as chair during my current term, I value the opportunity to provide continuity and, if seen appropriate, experienced leadership. I am particularly eager to stay involved as we move forward with the Commons, ensuring that public spaces and recreational developments reflect the needs and aspirations of our community. My goal is to help foster inclusive, sustainable, and engaging spaces that enhance quality of life for all residents.

How would you approach the volunteer position representing the community's interests?
I will continue to stay engaged, listen, and advocate for the community’s interests. In practice, this means attending council meetings, participating in workshops, and supporting key processes such as the RFQ for contractor selection at the Commons.

My approach is to remain accessible, informed, and committed to ensuring that community priorities are reflected in our parks and recreational developments.

What strengths/expertise/special skills would you bring to the Board, Commission, or Committee?
I bring experience in leadership, problem-solving, and process clarity. Having served two terms, including as chair, I am skilled at facilitating discussions, identifying gaps, and helping groups reach practical, well-grounded decisions. I am persistent and pragmatic, knowing when to troubleshoot issues directly and when to escalate for efficiency. These strengths allow me to support the Commission’s work with consistency and a clear focus on community priorities.

Please describe your previous community service and volunteer experience.

I have served two terms on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission, including involvement in the Commons contractor RFQ process. In addition, I participate on the Pickleball Liaison Group, helping to represent community interests in recreational programming. Beyond parks and recreation, I serve as President of the Friends of the Yountville Library, supporting literacy, access, and community engagement.

Anything else you would like to tell us?
Having raised our two sons here, my family has been active users of the town’s parks and recreational amenities. This long-standing connection makes it especially meaningful to continue giving back and supporting the spaces that have enriched our lives and community.

Name, Addresses and Phone numbers of three (3) individuals familiar with your background (Please do not use council members as references).
