Why do you want to serve on this Board, Commission, or Committee? The Measure "S" fund is the primary funding source for construction for badly needed Affordable and Work Housing in Yountville. As the cost of living in Yountville is extremely high many of our tasting room and restaurant workers are forced to commute long distances. Successful completion of the housing envisioned by Measure "S" will help insure our ability to hire the best people.
How would you approach the volunteer position representing the community's interests?
I've lived in Yountville for 8 years, worked at the Welcome Center for most of that time, volunteered at the Veteran's home am on the Board of the YV Chamber of Commerce.
In addition, I've gotten to the Members of the Town Council, probably dozens of our residents as well as many, many of the employees and managers of the various town's restaurants. This gives me a good understanding of their needs and desires.
What strengths/expertise/special skills would you bring to the Board, Commission, or Committee?
I am a retired governmental finance professional. I have been the Chief Financial officer of various municipalities in several States. My last employer was th City of Vallejo where I designed the financial plan that enabled it to escape bankruptcy.
Please describe your previous community service and volunteer experience.
As mentioned above, I have enjoyed volunteering at the Town's Welcome Center and volunteering to assist the Annual Veteran's lunch and the Town's Thanksgiving luncheon.

I have enjoyed being on the Committee and think I have contributed to the work we have. I hope I get a chance to continue.
