Why do you want to serve on this Board, Commission, or Committee? I want to get involved in my community and highly value our outdoor spaces and public transportation. In addition, I’ve always had a deep interest in the arts.
How would you approach the volunteer position representing the community's interests?
I attend many community events, member of the chamber, Yountville fit. I engage with many members of the community amd interacting with them and gaining feedback is the main way. I would also j proactively reach out to communities in town or locals.
What strengths/expertise/special skills would you bring to the Board, Commission, or Committee?
Organized, collaborative in my approach, able to manage large scale projects, see the big picture and detail oriented.
Please describe your previous community service and volunteer experience.
I have volunteered at local nonprofit and food banks for the past 25 years in sacramento prior to moving to Yountville 4 years ago. I involved my children in the process and they now work in the nonprofit sector. In addition, I’ve volunteered with local high schools and elementary schools for past 25 years to mentor children in their educational paths and general health. In Yountville, I’ve volunteered at the Thanksgiving events.
