RECOMMENDATION
Adopt Resolution Number 26-4402 approving Amendment No. 2 to increase the maximum amount of Agreement 2023-817 with Commercial Power Sweep and authorizing the Town Manager to execute Amendment No. 2 up to the budgeted amount.
DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND
The Town is required to sweep the streets clean of trash and debris to comply with the terms of our National Pollution Elimination System (NPDES) and the Bay Area Storm Water Management Agencies Association (BASMAA) Phase II permit. In addition, it helps to keep the Town clean and contributes to the health and welfare of our community.
The Town currently contracts with Commercial Power Sweep to provide Town-wide street sweeping on a byweekly basis, with weekly service during the fall/winter season and after community events such as the Town Mardi Gras parade. The original Agreement was authorized by the Town Council on August 1, 2023. Amendment No. 1, approved by Town Council on July 16, 2024, extended the contract term and increased the not-to-exceed amount to $147,430. The Agreement remains in effect through June 30, 2026.
Review of projected costs for the remainder of the contract term shows that the Agreement amount needs to be increased by $65,835, resulting in a total not-to-exceed amount of $213,265 to reflect the full cost of services through June 30, 2026.
Staff requests Town Council adopt Resolution Number 26-4402 approving an Amendment to increase the maximum amount of the Agreement with Commercial Power Sweep and authorizing the Town Manager to execute the Amendment up to the budgeted amount.
