Resolution Number 26-4406

A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF YOUNTVILLE APPROVING A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $236,678 FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT CONTRACT SERVICES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2025/26 USING GENERAL FUND ASSIGNED FOR BUDGET CONTINGENCY.
___________________________________________________________________________ Recitals
A. The Town of Yountville contracts with the County of Napa to provide law enforcement services to Town residents.

B. The fiscal year 2025/26 adopted budget for law enforcement services was based on direction from the County to reduce the expected cost because of a vacant position. This vacant position was filled during fiscal year 2025/26 resulting in an increase of expected expenditures for fiscal year 2025/26.

C. Approval of this Resolution will increase the expenditure budget for law enforcement services by $236,678 in the current fiscal year and approves the use of the General Fund Assigned for Budget Contingency Fund balance to cover these costs.

Now, therefore, the Town Council of the Town of Yountville, does resolve as follows:

1. Approves the use of $236,678 of fiscal year 2025/26 General Fund Assigned for Budget Contingency Funds to fund the needed expenditures for General Fund Law Enforcement Contract Services.

2. Approves the $236,678 budget increase to 01-3200-4210 General Fund Law Enforcement Contract Services.
