A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF YOUNTVILLE
AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH PAVEMENT ENGINEERING INC. TO PREPARE STREET REHABILITATION PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND ENGINEERING, AND PROVIDE BID SUPPORT SERVICES FOR THE MU-2027
ROADWAY REHABILITATION VISTA NEIGHBORHOOD PROJECT IN AN AMOUNT OF $60,448 AND AUTHORIZING THE INTERIM TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE
AGREEMENT UP TO THE BUDGETED AMOUNT ALONG WITH ANY SUBSEQUENT AMENDMENTS.
__________________________________________________________________________ Recitals
A. At the May 6, 2025, Town Council meeting, the Town Council adopted the Measure-U 5- year Plan. Measure-U is the half cent transaction and use (sales) tax to provide supplemental funding for road maintenance previously known as Measure-T.
B. The first five-year plan begins in fiscal year 25-26 and extends to fiscal year 29-30 with an update to the plan required in fiscal year 27-28. The Vista Neighborhood is scheduled in the 5-year plan and is comprised of Vista Court, Vineyard Circle and Vista Drive.
C. Pavement Engineering Inc. (PEI) has provided a proposal to prepare pavement Plans, Specifications, and Engineering (PS&E), and bid support services for the MU-2027 Roadway Rehabilitation Vista Neighborhood Project at a cost not to exceed $60,448.
D. Utilizing special revenue funds designated for street improvements alleviates the need to use general fund money
E. Gas Tax (Fund 20) and Senate Bill (SB) 1 Fund 26 are used to pay for Plans, Specifications and Engineering (PS&E), and bidding support services for street improvements which alleviates the need to use General Fund money.
F. Municipal Code 3.32.520 states that “The Town Manager may approve professional services contracts up to and including $45,000, while contracts exceeding this amount require Town Council approval.”
Now, therefore, the Town Council of the Town of Yountville does resolve as follows:
1. Adopt the Resolution authorizing a Professional Services Agreement with Pavement Engineering Inc. to Prepare Street Rehabilitation Plans, Specifications and Engineering, and Provide Bid Support Services for the MU-2027 Roadway Rehabilitation Vista Neighborhood Project in an amount of $60,448.
2. Authorize the Town Manager to execute the agreement up to the budgeted amount and any subsequent amendments.
3. The Resolution is hereby adopted and becomes effective and in full force immediately upon adoption.
