A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF YOUNTVILLE APPROVING
A NEW AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF NAPA/CALFIRE FOR PROVISION OF FIRE
PROTECTION AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES TO THE TOWN OF YOUNTVILLE FOR THE PERIOD OF JULY 1, 2026 TO JUNE 30, 2028 AND AUTHORIZING THE INTERIM TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT.
___________________________________________________________________________ Recitals
A. The Town has contracted with Napa County to provide fire protection services since 1983, with the most recent contract set to expire on June 30, 2026.
B. The County of Napa continues to have the equipment and personnel to provide fire protection services within the jurisdictional boundaries of the Town of Yountville.
C. The Town and the County have negotiated a new two-year agreement that will expire on June 30, 2028, which provides for maintenance of effort service level with a 5% increase in cost in both fiscal years and an increase to the apparatus replacement cost reflecting the current cost of providing the service.
Now, therefore, the Town Council of the Town of Yountville does resolve as follows:
1. The Agreement, including scope of work, with the County of Napa/CalFire for fire protection and emergency medical services, a draft of which is attached and hereby made a part of this resolution is approved.
2. The Interim Town Manager is authorized to execute and implement the terms of the Agreement on behalf of the Town.
3. The Resolution is hereby adopted and becomes effective and in full force immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Yountville, State of California, held on this 2nd day of June 2026 by the following vote:
