NAPA COUNTY
FACT SHEET
FIRE DEPARTMENT Fire Services Agreement – Town of Yountville Since 1931, the Yountville Fire Station has operated through a collaborative partnership with the Town and County, seeing the Vets Home join in 1982. Over time, however, the allocation of operational costs has gradually shifted in a manner that has resulted in the County of Napa assuming nearly half of the total station expenses, largely due to costs that were not fully distributed among the benefiting partners. While some costs remain difficult to capture and allocate, the County endeavors to work to realign the funding structure to better reflect the shared service model. The following fact sheet and associated budget outlines proposed adjustments to the future-year agreement that are intended to “right the ship” and move toward a more balanced three-way cost sharing framework among the participating agencies.
