A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF YOUNTVILLE AWARDING
THE BID FOR RECYCLED WATER TRANSMISSION MAIN REPAIR PROJECT NUMBER WW-0042, TO PRECISION DIRECTIONAL BORING OF MARTINEZ, CA FOR $1,329,244.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE INTERIM TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT WITH A 10% CONSTRUCTION CONTINGENCY, CHANGE RODERS AND AMENDMENTS UP TO THE PROJECT BUDGETED AMOUNT. ___________________________________________________________________________ Recitals
A. At the June 2, 2026, Town Council meeting, Council adopted Resolution Number 26-4416 approving the plans and specifications for the Recycled Water Transmission Main Repair project number WW-0042 authorizing staff to solicit bids for the project.
B. The formal bid package was advertised in the construction trade journals and the Town’s virtual plan room beginning June 3, 2026, with a 14-day solicitation period. The Town received 6 bids that were publicly opened and read aloud on June 18, 2026, at 3:00 pm.
C. The apparent low bidder, Precision Directional Boring out of Martinez, CA is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder at the base bid price of $1,329,244.00.
D. The project budget is currently budgeted in fund 63. This authorization will include a 10% construction contingency be included in the project budget.
E. This project is categorically exempt under Section 15302(c) Categorically Exempt per California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guideline; Class 2, Replacement or Reconstruction.
Now, therefore, the Town Council of the Town of Yountville does resolve as follows:
1. Award the bid for the Recycled Water Transmission Main Repair project number WW0042, to Precision Directional Boring out of Martinez, CA for $1,329,244.00.
2. Authorize the Interim Town Manager to execute a construction contract with a 10% construction contingency, change orders and amendments up to the project budget amount.
3. The Resolution is hereby adopted and becomes effective and in full force immediately upon adoption.
