A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF YOUNTVILLE APPROVING A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT OF $12,000 IN FISCAL YEAR 2025-26 USING THE EXISTING FUND BALANCE OF FUND 23 – PUBLIC ART PROGRAM FEE FUND.

A. Fund 23 – Public Art Program Fee Fund was established in 2016 to assist in enhancing outdoor public art in the commercial district of Town. This is a restricted fund that ensures the ongoing development and maintenance of outdoor public art assets.
B. This fund can only be used for the acquisition, installation, improvement, and maintenance of the physical artwork.
C. The funding comes from a 1% valuation on all commercial building projects and has annual support from the Napa Valley Tourism Improvement District (NVTID) - Yountville.
D. Staff estimated the budget for 2025-26 to be $29,885 for expenses and $19,700 for revenue.
E. Due to needed maintenance and the availability of additional sculptures for placement, the expense budget requires an increase for fiscal year 2025-26.
F. Staff is requesting a budget adjustment for $12,000 from the existing Fund – 23 Art Walk Fee Fund balance for 2025-26.
G. If approved, the fund will maintain a balance of approximately $17,565.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Town Council of the Town of Yountville, California, does hereby resolve as follows:
1. The recitals set forth above are true and correct.
2. The Town Council hereby approves the budget adjustment of $12,000 in Fund 23.
3. The Resolution is hereby adopted and becomes effective and in full force immediately upon adoption.
