Housing in Yountville for Tuesday, July 21, 2026 Council meeting Comment*
Honorable Mayor and Council Members, I am writing for myself, not on behalf of the Measure S Committee, and with regard to today's Agenda Item# 12B, the discussion of housing in Yountville. I believe my comments to be relevant and, I trust, helpful as you and the public resume discussions.

Well before the Housing Element of 2023-2031 was created and facts, figures and charts were included to identify the need for affordable housing, including the "who, what, where and how" of such, there was Measure S. A reminder that in 2018, the community voted to proceed with an ambitious project that included workforce and affordable housing.

I hope to encourage your thinking of Measure S as a partner in developing both workforce and affordable in terms of design, financing and iscovering additional options. More importantly, Measure S creatively offered a variety of ideas to help reach the qualitative goals laid out i he Housing Element. Further, Measure 5 can be a practical partner with a preliminary June 30, 2026 financial balance of $1.4M As you continue to discuss the affordable and workforce theme, please recall the strategies and specific examples included in Measure S.

Measure S is a tool in partnership with your own creative solutions.

Respectfully,
Sandy Fagan Yountville
