A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF YOUNTVILLE AUTHORIZING
THE INTERIM TOWN MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT ACCEPTING THE GIFT
OF THE LOVE WINE TOO SCULPTURE FROM ARTIST RICHARD STARKS VALUED AT $19,500.
Recitals
A. The Yountville Arts Commission accepted the sculpture titled “Love Wine Too” onto the Art Walk in November 2023, placed at the sculpture location on Washington Street at the Villagio Vineyard.
B. The artist, Richard Starks, has offered to gift the Town of Yountville the sculpture titled “Love Wine Too.”
C. The Yountville Arts Commission unanimously approved bringing this offer forward to the Town Council for review and recommended approval at the July 6, 2026, Yountville Arts Commission meeting.
D. The Town would be under no obligation to continue displaying the sculpture and could gift or sell the sculpture in the future if so desired. The sculpture could also be placed in a permanent location or be rotated throughout Town.
Now, therefore, the Town Council of the Town of Yountville does resolve as follows:
1. Authorizes the Interim Town Manager to enter into an agreement accepting the gift of the sculpture titled “Love Wine Too” by artist Richard Starks.
2. The Resolution is hereby adopted and becomes effective and in full force immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Yountville, State of California, held on this 4th day of August 2026 by the following vote:
