A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF YOUNTVILLE
APPROVING THE YOUNTVILLE NEIGHBORHOOD SCULPTURE STROLL
PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING THE YOUNTVILLE ARTS COMMISSION TO FACILITATE THE PROGRAM.
Recitals
A. The Yountville Arts Commission oversees the Yountville Art Walk Program, which places outdoor sculptures throughout the Town. Sculptures are typically on loan for 2 years.
B. The Commission wishes to establish a program that would bring sculptures for long-term or permanent placement to Yountville’s neighborhood parks and Town-owned areas, creating walkabout experiences that connect residents to art in everyday spaces.
C. The program is not intended to be promoted to visitors but as a way to enrich our neighborhoods for residents.
D. The Neighborhood Sculpture Stroll would be funded through the Yountville Community Foundation Art Fund.
E. The process for selection of a permanent sculpture for this program would include approval from the Yountville Arts Commission, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission, and the Town Council.
F. The Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission unanimously approved the program at its May 21, 2026, meeting.
G. The Yountville Arts Commission unanimously approved the program at its July 6, 2026 meeting.
Now therefore, the Town Council of the Town of Yountville does resolve as follows:
1. Authorizes the Yountville Arts Commission to facilitate the Neighborhood Sculpture Stroll Program as outlined.
2. The Resolution is hereby adopted and becomes effective and in full force immediately upon adoption.
