SUBJECT: Yucaipa Equestrian Arena Committee Overnight Camping RECOMMENDATION:
That City Council waive the provisions of Yucaipa Municipal Code Section 12.06.030(A) and (D) regarding overnight camping at the Yucaipa Equestrian Arena from June 25, 2022, to June 26, 2022, for the California State Horsemanship Association.
DISCUSSION:
The Yucaipa Equestrian Arena Committee (YEAC) is requesting permission to allow overnight camping at the Yucaipa Equestrian Arena (Arena) on June 25, 2022 to June 26, 2022, for the California State Horsemanship Association (CSHA). CSHA will be putting on an event at the Arena and will need to monitor and care for the animals involved in the event. Yucaipa Municipal Code (YMC) Section 12.06.030, Sub -Section (A) and (D) restricts overnight camping in public places. Contingent upon City Council approval, YEAC shall decide who will be allowed to camp on the premises and authorized campers will be required to camp in self- contained recreational vehicles.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact as a result of this item.
