SUBJECT: Casa Blanca House Advisory Committee
RECOMMENDATION:
That City Council appoint Kandie Cansler (Representative from the Yucaipa Valley Historical Society), Andrea Geyer (At -large), Jonathan Weldy (Property Owner), and the selected City Council Member to the Casa Blanca House Advisory Committee.
BACKGROUND:
On June 13, 2022, the City Council entered into a Cost Sharing Agreement with the property owner of the Case Blanca property. The agreement also included a commitment by the property owner to collaborate with an advisory committee appointed by the City Council for the planning of improvements, public and private uses, and potential historic designation of the Case Blanca House located on the adjacent property.
On July 11, 2022, City Council adopted Resolution No. 2022-42, establishing a Casa Blanca House Advisory Committee and approved an amendment to the Fair share/Reimbursement Agreement consistent with the approved makeup of the committee.
DISCUSSION:
Consistent with Resolution No. 2022-42, Citizen Service Applications have been received for the one (1) representative from the Yucaipa Valley Historical Society, one (1) at -large representative, and one (1) property owner representative. All applicants have been notified and advised that the City Council desires their attendance at this meeting to provide information and/or address questions.
