SUBJECT: Public Arts Committee
RECOMMENDATION:
That City Council approve Resolution No. 2022-48, amending Resolution No. 2020-22 to add a Council liaison to the Public Arts Committee.
DISCUSSION:
The Public Arts Committee (PAC) serves as an advisory body to the City Council and administers a public arts program for the City with final decisions made by the Council.
On July 11, 2022, City Council appointed Mayor Pro Tern Beaver as the City Council liaison for the PAC and directed staff to amend Resolution No. 2020-22 to include the appointment of a City Council liaison. This change will mean the Public Arts Committee will include voting members consisting of one (1) representative from Vision Quest, one (1) representative from the Yucaipa Art Association, five (5) members of the general public and one (1) City Council liaison.
The Council liaison will help in the selection, facilitation, and execution of public art projects for the full Council consideration.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact as a result of this action.

RESOLUTION NO.2022-48
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
YUCAIPA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2020-22
SECTION 2, ADVISORY MEMBERSHIP FOR THE PUBLIC ARTS
COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, on August 24, 2015, City Council directed that a separate committee be established to administer a public art program with final decisions made by the Council, and WHEREAS, the Public Art Committee shall be comprised of representatives from art - based Community organizations and the Community at -large.
WHEREAS, the City Council hereby established a Public Art Committee on August 26, /11ue
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YUCAIPA DOES HEREBY ORDER, DETERMIN AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 2 of Resolution No. 2020-22 is hereby amended to read as follows:
ADVISIORY MEMBERSHIP. The Public Art Committee shall include advisory, voting members consisting of one (1) representative from Vision Quest, one (1) representative form the Yucaipa Art Association, five (5) members of the general public, and one (1) City Council liaison.
