SUBJECT: Acceptance of Contract Work. — 2021/2022 Street Striping Program - Project No. 11157
RECOMMENDATION:
That City Council:
1) Accept the contract work completed by Superior Pavement Markings, Inc. in the amount of $65,261 for the 2021/2022 Street Striping Program- Project No. 11157; and 2) Authorize the recordation of the Notice of Completion for the project.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
On April 26, 2021 City Council approved the FY2021/2022 Pavement Management Program (PMP). Included as part of the PMP is the 2021/2022 Street Striping Program (Program).
The Program includes installation of new striping and signage, and revitalization of existing pavement striping and markings throughout the City as part of the City's overall Pavement Management Program (PMP). Also included in the Program is the restriping of the "edge line", between the travel lanes and on -street parking areas along Yucaipa Boulevard between Bryant Street and 2nd Street. The edge -line restriping would include red, white, and blue striping.
On April 11, 2022, City Council awarded a contract to Superior Pavement Markings of Cypress, CA in the amount of $61,740 for the Program. At that meeting, City Council consensus was to reduce the limits of the proposed red, white, and blue edge -line striping. The revised limits are Yucaipa Boulevard between Adams Street and 111 Street.
