Law Enforcement Services Contract
2022.
• Established a 2% Law Enforcement Retention Incentive effective July 30, 2022. • Additional Holiday leave accrual for June 19t' (Juneteenth). • COVID-19 Premium Pay Bonus to all classifications.
• Extension to the timeframe for submission of the COVID-19 Vaccine Incentive Program.
The MOU was approved in the attempt to aid the current staffing shortages throughout the Sheriffs Department. To reduce these vacancies, a salary comparison. (Attachment A) was conducted by the Saxe Bernardino County Human Resources Department. This comparison contained salaries from neighboring County Sheriff s Departments at the Deputy Sheriff level as well as the amount for the Advanced POST certificate. The approved MOU extended the terms and conditions of employment through October 1, 2025.
On July 19, 2022, the San Bernardino County Sheriff met with contract cities to inform them there would be an amended Schedule A increase for FY 2022/2023 based on the approved MOU. The amended Schedule A for FY 2022/2023 (Attachment B) reflects an additional increase of $275,569.
The revised contract amount is $12,627,007, less the annual personnel credit in the amount of $621,182, for a total net contract amount of not to exceed $12,005,825. There are no changes in staffing to the amended Schedule A for FY 2022/2023.
FISCAL IMPACT:
