The proposed amendment extends the tenn of the agreement from June 30, 2023, to June 30, 2024.

The agreement will terminate on June 30, 2024, unless extended pursuant to agreement of the parties.

The proposed amendment provides that the City Manager will receive a salary increase of 3%, for a total base salary of $299,420.

The proposed amendment also provides that the City Manager shall be entitled to the use of a City vehicle for the remainder of the term of the Agreement, and renders void a related provision in the original Employment Agreement related to use of a City automobile as a relocation incentive, in order to provide clarity on the issue. The City vehicle shall be for City business only and not for personal use. The City will continue to provide fuel, insurance, maintenance, and repair for the vehicle. The employee will not be entitled to any automobile allowance once he takes possession of the City vehicle. Further, the Agreement provides that it is the City Council's intent that agreement to provide a City automobile in this Amendment is not intended to be construed as precedent in any future employment negotiations in which the City Council may engage with Employee or any other employee.
