Reserve program
For over 40 years the Yucaipa Fire Department has maintained a Reserve Firefighter program. The program furnishes volunteer firefighters who at completion of training are able to fully function as firefighters and add additional personnel and support to the Yucaipa Fire Department. The Yucaipa Fire Department was notified by Victor Valley College they would no longer be able to support the program and in 2022 Grafton Hills college committed to operating the reserve program in a collaborative effort. Reserve Firefighters will be rehired in fall semester of 2023 with the creation of CHCrs Fire Tech 198. i
