SUBJECT: Contract Amendment No. 1 with Animal Pest Management Services, Inc. — Pest Management Program
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council approve and authorize the City Manager to execute Contract Amendment No. 1 with Animal Pest Management Services, Inc. for the Pest Management Program in the amount of $3,000 for a revised contract total amount of $9,762.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
On December 13, 2021, the City Council approved and authorized an Agreement with Animal Pest Management Services, Inc. (APM) for the Pest Management Program (Program). The current agreement includes providing pest management services to control all crawling and flying pests including but not limited to spiders, roaches, ants, flies, wasps, and hornets at 18 separate City facility locations.
Due to the unusual weather Southern California encountered in the winter and spring of 2023, staff is seeing an increase in the number of crawling and flying pests at various City facilities. The increase in pest activity has resulted in additional calls for service to APM, and it is anticipated that additional calls for service will be required during FY24. The proposed Contract Amendment No. 1 in the amount of $3,000 will fund additional calls for service.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding for the proposed Contract Amendment No. 1 is available in the Professional Services section of the Public Works Division in the adopted FY24 Budget.

AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO AGREEMENT PEST MANAGEMENT
PROGRAM
THIS AMENDMENT, made and entered into this 28" day of August 2023, by and between Animal Pest Management Serivices, Inc., hereinafter called "CONSULTANT," and City of Yucaipa, a municipal corporation, hereinafter called "CITY."
NOW, THEREFORE, CONSULTANT and CITY mutually agree as follows:
Subject to the terms and conditions of the original agreement dated December 13, 2021, between the subject CONSULTANT and the City of Yucaipa, Amendment No. 1 to the original agreement for FY24 shall be as follows for the additional contract services.

The CITY will pay the CONSULTANT for services rendered, based on the industry standard "Schedule of Rates" agreed upon by both parties for FY24, in the total amount NOT TO EXCEED $9,762.00 for the work required to complete Pest Management services at Various City -Owned Public Facilities in the City of Yucaipa.
