Currently, What do you feel are the biggest Issues
Yucaipa teens face?
1 think the biggest issues Yucaipa leans encounter are stress, social media addictions, and academic problams.Taans experience stress due to schoolwork and wanting to Ft in with the crowds at school. Pressure to maintain good grades and figuring out what career path to take causes stress as teens never experienced these problems before. Currently at Yucaipa High there is bullying and violence happening. Teens copy what they see on social media and imitate other students' actions that are posted. It doesn't help that teens are on their phones 24/7 absorbing everything that they see and watch.

Names one person who has inspired you and list the qualities you admire about that person.

I admire my mother's hardworking nature, determination and her ability to always ba there when my brother and I Head her. She Inspires ma to do my best in everything I attempt and to not be shy when it comes to communicating my thoughts and ideas. My mother is also vary bold and wise, I hope I can learn to be these things as I become older.

Extra Curricular activities:

I serve on a pilot program for mental health called the MHSA Youth Advocacy Imitative project. 1 am a member of the HBS leadership club and have swam for the Jv team for the past two years. Lastly, I volunteer at my church In the child ran's ministry where 1 teach and engage with 4 year olds.

What can the Youth Advisory Committee do to improve local teen's quality of life? I believe hosting events for teens to Interact with others would help them to connect and stay out of trouble. Tha biggest desire for teens is to be a part of something whether it be a school club or sports team. 1 personally experienced the sense of wanting to belong and 1 found this through involving myself in school activities. Also, organizing free workshops about useful life skills, for example how to cook, could make teens feel like they are more independent and prepare them for adult life.
