My name is Devon and I am contacting Yucaipa city council regarding Palestine and Israel. I am asking the Yucaipa City Council to take immediate steps to deescalate, by supporting a resolution calling for a ceasefire, and pressuring Israel to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza to save thousands of lives. I urge this City Council to stand with other cities like Richmond and Alameda, California in calling for a Ceasefire now. What has occurred for the past month is a genocide against the civilians of Gaza in Palestine. Save the Children has reported that a child dies in Gaza every 10 minutes. We do not have a moment to lose, we must take immediate action for this urgent humanitarian crisis. We cannot undo the cruel collective punishment that has resulted in over 10,000 deaths, but we can stand up to prevent more bloodshed, and save the lives of so many people who are suffering every day.
