SUBJECT: Youth Advisory Committee Appointment
RECOMMENDATION -
That ffie City Council appoint Kim Pham to the Youth Advisory Committee for atwo-year term from November 27, 2023, to September 1, 2025.
The Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) serves as an advisory body to the City Council and the intent is to improve youth involvement in City issues, activities and provide committee members a roadmap for success.
Pursuant to Resolution No. 2017-45, seven at-lazge appointments shall be made in odd -numbered years and six at-lazge appointments shall be made in even -numbered years and members shall serve two-yeaz terms.
The CiTy received an application from, new applicant, Kim Pham on October 31, 2023. On November 7, 2023, the Youth Advisory Committee Vice -Chairperson, City staff, and Council Member Venable met with Ms. Pham and recommended her for appointment. Appointing Kim Pharr will result in six vacancies.
The YAC will continue to recruit until the Committee is full.
