SUBJECT: Acceptance of Contract Work - 202212023 Pavement Rehabilitation Program - Project No. I1186
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council:
1) Accept the contract work completed by Matich Corporation in the amount of $1,366,273 {S$48J#3 for the 202212023 Pavement Rehabilitation Program - Project No. 1l186; and
2) Authorize the recordation of the Notice of Completion for the 202212023 Pavement Rehabilitation Program.
BAC KG ROUND/DISCUSSION :
On March 8,2022, the City Council approved the FY202212023 Pavement Management Program (PIvIP). Included as a part of the PMP is the FY202212023 Pavement Rehabilitation Program (Program). The Program includes asphalt street repairs and rehabilitation of asphalt pavement on various streets throughout the City.
The Program was initiated in order to repair, resurface and extend the service life of various asphalt street segments as a part of the City's overall PMP and to meet one of the adopted City Council goals for 2023. The Program included pavement patching, cold milling, asphalt resurfacing and the restriping of the streets after the work was completed.
On June 12,2023, the City Council awarded Matich Corporation a contract to complete the Program in the amount of $1,173,357. The City Council also approved the amount of $293,000 for contract contingency for a total construction contract budget in the amount of $1,466,357.
Inspections performed by staff during the course of the work and upon completion of the work have assured that the work was completed in accordance with the contract specifications for the Program.

FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no additional fiscal impact as a result of the proposed recommendations.
