Trails and Open Space Committee Appointment
That the City Council:
l) Review the attached Citizen Service Applications and nominate one applicant for the At- Large Membership to the Trails and Open Space Committee; and 2) Vote on the appointment of the nominated applicant.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
Prior to the Trails & Open Space Committee Meeting on December 5,2023, City staff was informed of the resignation of an atlarge member due to personal reasons. This resignation resulted in one (1) vacant at-large position as of January 1,2024. This at-large vacant position has an expiration date of January 1,2025.
The City has received two (2) Citizen Service Applications from residents interested in joining the Trails and Open Space Committee. Attached to this report are copies of the Citizen Service Applications received.
Any member of the City Council may nominate an individual for membership on the Trails and Open Space Committee. A majority vote of the Council is required for an appointment to be made.
Each applicant has been notified of this meeting and advised that Council typically desires their attendance to provide additional information, if needed.
