SUBJECT: Yucaipa Equestrian Arena Overnight Camping
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council waive the provisions of Yucaipa Municipal Code Section 12.06.030(A) and (D) regarding overnight camping at the Yucaipa Equestrian Arena (Arena) for the California State Horsemanship Association (CSHA).
DISCUSSION:
The CSHA has rented the Arena to host a multiday Gymkhana event and needs to monitor and care for the animals involved in the event. Therefore they are requesting permission to allow overnight camping at the Arena on the following dates:
September 26, 2024
September 27, 2024
September 28, 2024
Yucaipa Municipal Code (YMC) Section 12.06.030, Sub -Section (A) and (D) restricts overnight camping in public places. Contingent upon City Council approval, CSHA will be allowed to camp on the premises in self-contained recreational vehicles.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact as a result of this item.
