SUBJECT: Special Event Permit Application — Pumpkin Factory LLC RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council approve the alcohol service and attendance for a Special Event Permit Application (SEPA) submitted by the Pumpkin Factory LLC (Applicant) to conduct a Festival style concert on Saturday June 22, 2024.
DISCUSSION:
The Applicant submitted a Special Event Permit Application (SEPA) to conduct festival style concerts on their property located at 32355 Live Oak Canyon Rd. The details of the SEPA are as follows:
• Event Dates: 6/22/24, 7/27/24, 8/31/24
• Time: 2:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
• Activities: Alcohol service, food and beverage vendors, and live entertainment • Anticipated Attendance: 2,000+
This SEPA requires City Council approval because the Applicant has requested to sell alcohol within City limits with a temporary one -day ABC license, the number of potential attendees, and because the Applicant is using their property to hold an activity that has not been approved as part of their Conditional Use Permit. City Council approval is the initial step in the SEP process and if granted, staff will route the SEPA to the appropriate departments for review and approval and will work with the Applicant to obtain all necessary documentation.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Applicant has paid the $200 SEPA fee.
