SUBJECT: Acceptance of Contract Work — 2nd Street and 3rd Street at Avenue E Roundabouts Hardscape Phase II Project — Project No. 11165
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council:
1) Accept the contract work completed by Three Peaks Corporation in the amount of $89,217 for the 2nd Street and 3rd Street at Avenue E Roundabouts Hardscape Phase II Project — Project No. 11165 (Project); and
2) Authorize the recordation of the Notice of Completion for the Project; and 3) Accept the as -built plans for the Project.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
On February 12, 2024, the City Council awarded a contract in the amount of $89,217 to Three Peaks Corporation of Calimesa, CA, to complete the hardscape at the roundabouts at 2nd and 3rd Streets at Avenue E.
The Project included installing hardscape in the parkway and pedestrian islands that matched the existing boulders, cobble, and decomposed granite previously installed with the Phase I Hardscape Project.
Inspections performed during and upon completion of the work have ensured that the work was completed in accordance with the contract specifications.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No additional fiscal impact as a result of the recommended City Council action.
