SUBJECT: Acceptance of Contract Work —15th Street Sidewalks ATP Project. Project No. 11184 RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council:
1) Accept the contract work completed by Three Peaks Corp. in the amount of $270,667.00 15th Street Sidewalks ATP Project. — Project No. 11184; and 2) Authorize the recordation of the Notice of Completion for the Project; and 3) Accept the as -built plans for the Project.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
The FY 2023/2024 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) includes the Avenue E & 15th Street Sidewalk improvements. The improvements include the construction of sidewalks, ADA compliant curb ramps and associated street improvements along Avenue E from 15th Street to the Dunlap Channel; and along the east side of 15th Street, from Avenue E to Yucaipa Boulevard.
In FY2015/2016, the City applied for and was awarded $402,000 in State Active Transportation Program (State ATP) grant funds through San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA) to construct the first phase of the improvements. The construction of the first phase of improvements was completed in 2021.
In FY2023/24, the City applied for and was awarded an additional $320,000 in State ATP grant funds through SBCTA to construct Phase 2 of the Project (Project). As required by the ATP grant program, the California Conservation Corps was required to perform a portion of the clearing and grubbing work during construction.
On February 24, 2024, the City Council awarded Three Peaks Corporation a contract to complete the Project in the amount of $270,735. The City Council also approved the amount of $27,000 for a total construction contract budget in the amount of $297,735. Inspections performed by staff during the course of the work and upon completion of the work have assured that the work was completed in
accordance with the contract specifications for the Project.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The contract work has been completed for a total of $270,668.00, which is $68.00 under the authorized contract budget for the Project.

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 9204 of the Civil Code of the State of California, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that work on the certain project known as:

for the City of Yucaipa was completed and accepted by the City of Yucaipa on the 24TH day of June 2024.
The said work was performed by Three Peaks Corp. of Calimesa, CA in accordance with the terms of the written agreement dated the 26th day of February 2024.
