SUBJECT: Acceptance of Contract Work FY2023/2024 Street Striping Program - Project No. 11197
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council:
1) Accept the contract work completed by PCI in the amount of $18,709.20 for the FY2023/2024 Street Striping Program. — Project No. 11197; and 2) Authorize the recordation of the Notice of Completion for the Project; and 3) Accept the as -built plans for the Project.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
On March 13, 2023, the City Council approved the FY2023/2024 Pavement Management Program (PMP). Included as a part of the PMP is the Street Striping Program (Project). The Project included installation of new striping and restoration of existing pavement striping and markings throughout the City as part of the City's overall PMP. The locations included Wildwood Canyon Road (Mesa Grande Drive — Oak Mesa Drive), Susan Street (Holmes Street — Elaine Way), Yucaipa Boulevard (3rd Street — 4th Street), Bryant Street (Mountain View Street — Avenue E), and California Street (Avenue A — Avenue B).
On April 8, 2024, the City Council awarded a contract to PCI for the Project in the amount of $18,110.
The City Council also approved the amount of $4,500 for contract contingency for a total construction budget in the amount of $22,610. Inspections performed by staff during the course of the work and upon completion of the work have assured that the work was completed in accordance with the contract specifications for the Project.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The contract work has been completed for a total cost of $18,709.20, which is $3,900.80 under the authorized construction budget for the Project.

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 9204 of the Civil Code of the State of California, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that work on the certain project known as:

2023/2024 STREET STRIPING PROGRAM
for the City of Yucaipa was completed and accepted by the City of Yucaipa on the 22nd day of July 2024.
The said work was performed by PCI. of Azusa, CA in accordance with the terms of the written agreement dated the 8th day of April 2024.
