SUBJECT: Adoption of Resolution No. 2024-58, Amending the 2024 City Council Meeting Schedule
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council adopt Resolution No. 2024-58, amending the 2024 City Council meeting schedule.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
Pursuant to Section 2.04.010 of the Yucaipa Municipal Code, the day and time of Council meetings shall be set by resolution of the City Council.
On December 11, 2023, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2023-59, setting the 2024 City Council Meeting schedule. As the end of the year is quickly approaching, staff has determined that there is a need for an additional regular City Council Meeting to be held in the month of November.
The first regular meeting for the month of November will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 due to City Hall being closed on Monday, November 11, 2024 in observance of Veterans Day.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YUCAIPA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE 2024 CALENDAR YEAR SCHEDULE
FOR CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS
WHEREAS, the City Council periodically changes the date of regularly scheduled meetings; and
WHEREAS, at the December 11, 2023 regular meeting, the City Council adopted the 2024 City Council Regular Meeting Schedule; and
WHEREAS, staff has determined that a second regular City Council meeting is needed in the month of November.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YUCAIPA HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The 2024 City Council Regular Meeting Schedule is amended as follows:

May 27 — No Meeting — Memorial Day

July 8 — No Meeting — Summer Recess

Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to make changes to the meeting schedule as necessary.
