SUBJECT: Acceptance of Contract Work — Fiscal Year 2024/2025 Concrete Program — Project No. 11214
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council:
1) Accept the contract work completed by Three Peaks Corp. in the amount of $188,416 for the 2024-2025 Concrete Program — Project No. 11214; and 2) Authorize a transfer of Article 3 TDA Funding in the amount of $13,200 to the Pavement Management Program (PMP) Fund; and
3) Authorize the recordation of the Notice of Completion for the Program; and 4) Accept the as -built plans for the Program.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
On May 13, 2024, City Council approved the FY2024/2025 Pavement Management Program (PMP).
Included as a part of the PMP is the Concrete Program (Program).
The Program is intended to meet the City's goal to improve pedestrian and ADA access throughout the City as part of the ADA Transition Plan adopted by the City Council on February 22, 2016.
The Program included the construction of a concrete retaining wall along the city yard access road, the replacement of cracked, broken or deteriorated concrete sidewalk, driveway approaches, curb and gutter, cross -gutter, and replacement of ADA curb ramps at various locations throughout the City. The sections of sidewalk that were replaced have been previously reported by residents and the general public. The reported sidewalk -related concerns have been processed through the City App reporting system and have been verified by staff prior to including the repairs to the Program.
After going through the public competitive bid process, on August 26, 2024, the City Council awarded a contract to Three Peaks Corp. of Calimesa, CA to complete the Program in the amount of $165,600.
Subsequently, additional work was identified including repairs to the 10th Street storm drain system
and replacing sections of curb, gutter, sidewalk, and asphalt. $22,816 of the budgeted contingency was used to fund this change order.
Funding of $13,200 was provided through a TDA award through SBCTA Inspections performed by staff during the course of the work and upon completion of the Program have assured that the work was completed in accordance with the contract specifications for the Program.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Project No. 11214 was completed on budget with a cost of $188,416.

for the City of Yucaipa was completed and accepted by the City of Yucaipa on the 13th day of November 2024.
The said work was performed by Three Peaks Corp. of Calimesa, CA in accordance with the terms of the written agreement dated the 26tt' day of August 2024.
