City of Yucaipa Community Activity Grant
Event/Program Summary
Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Grants
In an attempt to assist all awarded agencies, the City has developed an Event Reporting Financial Worksheet (attached) to ensure consistent and accurate reporting of the awarded agencies use of City funding and/or in -kind services. Along with your Event Reporting Financial Worksheet, please provide the information requested below:

1. Did the event/program meet the original intended goal? Yes, we were able to phase out many of our older bikes and we were able to replace them with new bikes.

2. if funded in the future, what would the organization do differently? it was bad timing on our part, as a few of the bikes we needed were out of stock everywhere. We had to wait until this month to make our last bike purchases.

3. What type of feedback did organization received from the participants? Our riders love it when we replace bikes. Those that need the bikes have a nice, new and safe bike to ride. It allows kids to race competitively without making a huge bike purchase or riding their old bikes.

4. What other financial/in-kind contributions did the organization seek or receive to fund the event/program (separate from City funding)?
We use our sponorship money help fun this program. Just recently Arrowhead Orthopaedics renewed their sponsorship and some of that money will be use to purchase one more bike.

5. List the total number of residents served.

Many of our 23 loaner bikes are loaned out every time we are open. We estimate that at least 1200-200C bikes have been loaned out this year. We also loan out gloves and helmets when need.

Attach copies of marketing/promotional materials for the event/program.

Notes/comments/additional information:

PLEASE SUBMIT, ALONG WITH EVENT REPORTING FINANCIAL WORKSHEET, TO THE CITY CLERKS OFFICE

The 2025 Spring Art Show was a great way to kick off the month of May. YVAA organized and hosted the 2025 Spring Art Show that was part of the Yucaipa Music and Arts Festival at the Yucaipa Performing Arts Center. This year's show had more than one hundred entries from YVAA's members, community artists, and Yucaipa High School students. The art exhibition had eleven art categories that featured some of the most fantastic and creative art that showcased the talent of all artists. This year, the show included the new digital art category of entries. YVAA wants to thank the many artists and photographers who entered this year's art show. Congratulations to all the show winners! Many thanks for the generous donations from sponsors, members, and friends of YVAA. We received many donations for our bake sale and opportunity drawing prizes. The show also presented the spring greeting card collection that had creative and colorful art and photography from our members. Overall, the show was a success and it would not be possible without the time and efforts from our volunteers and members.

This month, we are looking forward to featured artist, Cindy Sullivan, a photo - realistic watercolorist, that will be presenting on May 1S'h. We invite all members to visit the YVAA booth at the Wildlands Arts & Nature Festival on May 17'h in Oak Glen. YVAA has had an amazing season of art! Carol Maidlow first joined YVAA
around 2007. Carol states "I
found a wonderful group of
people and have been with them
ever since. When the treasurer
at the time gave up her position
in approximately 2010, she asked
me if 1 was interested in it since
she knew I had been an
accountant for many years. I
took on the job, and except for
one brief period have held that
position ever since. Volunteering
with the Association had been a
lot of fun over the
years. Including volunteering
during the Spring Art Show. Our
members have been changed
over the years, but they are still
the best group of people you
could wish to meet. Thank you
YVAA for allowing me to be a
part of them".

Carol Maidlow has served as a
board member in the treasurer
position for approximately 15
years. We are thankful for
her great accounting skills, her
efforts and volunteering time
with YVAA. We appreciate her
many years of service with WAAI
Volunteer Recognition
This month, YVAA wants to recognize the dedication and efforts of members that have made a difference by volunteering to keep WAA going over the years and to fulfill some of its key organizational goals.

This spring, Alan and Judy Remele announced that they will be moving away this summer and therefore, they will both be exiting board member positions. Alan and Judy have been board members of YVAA for many years and we appreciate all they have done for this organization.

Alan Remele is an oil, acrylic painter and photographer who shares the same passion for art and creativity like many of our members. He joined WAA in 2009, and has been a member for over 16 years.

Over the years, Alan has filled several roles in YVAA. Alan has been President, Vice President and has also filled the role of photographer/historian for WAA meetings and events. From 2024-2025, as Vice President, he has networked with many artists in Southern California to bring WAA a great lineup of artists and photographers that have presented at our monthly show or have judged at our spring art shows. He has also given a great deal of time to help organize WAA events and activities over the years in his various roles.

Judy Remele has also worked alongside her husband by volunteering for WAA in various roles. Judy has primarily been a volunteer covering our Scholarship Liaison position for many years, although she did fill our hospitality position for an interim period. In the scholarship position, she has managed the scholarship award process for WAA by interfacing with the local high school. This spring she will exit her scholarship liaison post and she will pass the baton to another member. We are very grateful for her volunteering time. Her efforts have helped fulfill YVAA's goals of helping to further arts education for graduating seniors.

This May, YVAA will acknowledge the volunteering contributions and dedication of three YVAA members, Alan Remele, Judy Remele and Carol Maidlow on May 15'h at the monthly show. We want to thank them on behalf of WAA!
