2 SUBJECT: Acceptance of Contract Work — FY24/25 Striping Program — Project No. 11229 RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council:
1) Accept the contract work completed by Cal Stripe Inc. in the amount of $64,088 for the FY24/25 Striping Program — Project No. 11229 (Project); and 2) Authorize the recordation of the Notice of Completion for the Project; and 3) Accept the as -built documents for the Project.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
On May 13, 2024, the City Council approved the FY24/25 Pavement Management Program (PMP Included as a part of the PMP is the FY24/25 Striping Program (Project).
The Project included installation of new striping and revitalization of existing pavement striping and markings throughout the City as part of the City's overall PMP. The striping locations included Calimesa Boulevard (Oak Glen Road — Wildwood Canyon Road), Bryant Street (Yucaipa Boulevard — Acacia Avenue) Comstock Drive, the intersections of Oak Glen Road/Bryant Street, Sunnyside Drive/Bryant Street, Yucaipa Boulevard/14th Street/Sand Canyon Road, Oak Glen Road/14th Street/Calimesa Boulevard, Wildwood Canyon Road/6th Street, and various segments of Oak Glen Road, Avenue E, and Avenue H.
After going through the public competitive bid process, on April 14, 2025, the City Council awarded a contract to Cal Stripe Inc. in the amount of $55,772 to complete the Project. The City Council also approved a contract contingency amount of $8,350 for a total construction contract budget in the amount of $64,122.
Staff inspections were performed during construction and upon completion to ensure that the work was completed in accordance with the plans and contract specifications. The contract work has been completed for a total cost of $64,088, which is under the authorized construction contract budget for the Project.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The recommendations do not result in a fiscal impact.

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 9204 of the Civil Code of the State of California, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that work on the certain project known as:

for the City of Yucaipa was completed and accepted by the City of Yucaipa on the 23rd day of June 2025.
The said work was performed by Cal Stripe Inc. of Colton, CA in accordance with the terms of the written agreement dated the 14th day of April 2025.
