SUBJECT: Fire Department Battalion Chief Vehicle
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council:

6 1. Approve the procurement of a 2026 Ford F-250 Super Duty Pickup in the amount of S64.072 to Downtown Ford of Sacramento; and
2. Authorize the Interim City Manager to execute any necessary agreements to carryout Council direction.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
A second Battalion Chief will be added to the Yucaipa Fire Department (YFD) staffing for FY26, this newly created position requires a command vehicle. The cost of the vehicle is included in the adopted FY26 Budget. The vehicle has been competitively bid through State of California Department of General Service Contract 1-22-23-20F.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The cost of the command vehicle described in recommendation #1 is included in the adopted FY26 Budget in the Public Safety Fund.
