RECOMMENDATION:

That the City Council review the attached Citizens Service Application for Leah Stiff and consider her appointment to the Healthy Yucaipa Committee.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
Staff conducted recruitment for the commission/committee member appointments set to expire on January 1, 2027. On January 21, 2025, the City Council approved the appointments of Robin Jensen (Councilmember Miller's appointment), Meredith Sherwin (Councilmember Venable's appointment), Heather O'Bier (Councilmember Thorp's appointment), Ross McGinnis (Councilmember Woolsey's appointment) and Hansen Wang (Councilmember Beaver's appointment) to the Healthy Yucaipa Committee (HYC). On January 1, 2025, the City Council approved the At -Large appointment of Matthew Underwood, and on June 9, 2025, the City Council approved the At -Large appointment of Beatriz Gardner, filling the two vacant positions.
On November 17, 2025, staff received a resignation from Committee member Ross McGinnis (Councilmember Woolsey's appointment). Currently, the Committee has one vacant Council appointed position and one vacant at -large position, as identified below.
