SUBJECT: Trails and Open Space Committee Appointment
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council:
1. Review the attached Citizen Service Applications and nominate one applicant for the At - Large Membership to the Trails and Open Space Committee; and
2. Vote on the appointment of the nominated applicant; or
3. Provide further direction to staff.
BACKCROUND/DISCUSSION:
In late 2025, City staff was informed of the resignation of an at -large member. This resignation resulted in one (1) vacant at -large position as of January 1, 2026. This at -large vacant position has an expiration date of January 1, 2027.
The City has received two (3) Citizen Service Applications from residents interested in joining the Trails and Open Space Committee. Attached to this report are copies of the Citizen Service Applications received.
Any member of the City Council may nominate an individual for membership on the Trails and Open Space Committee. A majority vote of the Council is required for an appointment to be made.
Each applicant has been notified of this meeting and advised that Council typically desires their attendance to provide additional information, if needed.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The recommendations do not result in a fiscal impact.
