Acceptance of Contract Work — Yucaipa Community Park and Bryant Glen Sports Park Tree Trimming Project - Project No. 11246
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council:
Accept the contract work completed by West Coast Arborists, Inc. in the amount of $102,495 for the Yucaipa Community Park and Bryant Glen Sports Park Tree Trimming Project - Project No. 11246; and
2. Authorize the recordation of the Notice of Completion for the Yucaipa Community Park and Bryant Glen Sports Park Tree Trimming Project - Project No. 11246; or
3. Provide further direction to staff.
BACKGRO>:]NDIDISCUSSION:
The Yucaipa Community Park and Bryant Glen Sports Park Tree Trimming Project (Project) was initiated to provide tree trimming services for approximately 725 trees in the Yucaipa Community Park and Bryant Glen Sports Park (Parks).
City staff met internally to discuss the condition of the trees located at the Parks and found that the trees at this public facility had not been thoroughly trimmed for over 10 years. The contract work for the Project consisted of furnishing all the required labor, materials, equipment, parts, implements and supplies necessary to complete the required tree trimming services at the Parks.
ANr going through the public competitive bid process, on December S, 2025, the City Council awarded a contract to West Coast Arbonists, Inc. in the amount of $102,495. 06/22/2026 City Council Agenda 89
Staff inspections were performed during the work and upon completion to ensure that the work was completed in accordance with the contract requirements. The contract work has been completed for a total Project cost: of $99,980, which is within the contract amount authorized by the City Council for the Project.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The recommendations do not result in a fiscal impact.
