and enter into a revenue sharing agreement with the City of Ceres following the proposed annexation of the Ceres Fire Protection District.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution is an expression of intent only and does not obligate the District to enter into any agreement, make any payment, or accept any particular financial or contractual term. Any proposed revenue sharing agreement shall be subject to subsequent consideration and approval by the Board of Directors at a duly noticed public meeting.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that nothing in this Resolution modifies, supersedes, or otherwise affects any property tax allocation or exchange undertaken pursuant to Revenue and Taxation Code section 99 in connection with the proposed reorganization.

Council to provide staff direction on agendized items for an upcoming City Council and Planning Commission meeting.
Background:
At the April 13, 2026, Regular City Council meeting Vice Mayor Martinez made a referral request to hold a joint City Council and Planning Commission meeting. On July 13, 2026, Council provided consensus for staff to move forward with scheduling such meeting.
The last City Council and Planning Commission joint meeting was a workshop held on January 29, 2024. At that workshop, the following topics were discussed:
1. Transportation
2. Residential Growth
3. Commercial Growth
4. Industrial Growth
5. Signage
Reasons for Recommendation:
The purpose of this item is for Council to discuss items they would like included on the agenda for the upcoming joint meeting. This will allow for staff to prepare an agenda along with any other potential material.

Based on the items placed on the agenda, departments will work collaboratively to prepare materials for topics of discussion.

Following direction provided by Council, staff will begin developing an agenda and scheduling the joint meeting for a future date.
