Subject: Letter of Commitment from Circuit Transit Inc for the City of Chula Vista‘s Clean Mobility Options Voucher Pilot Program Proposal Dear Dennis Gakunga,
On behalf of Circuit Transit Inc, we would like to express our commitment to serving as the Mobility Operator for a neighborhood electric vehicle ( NEV) shuttle program for the City of Chula Vista in the California Air Resource Board’s Clean Mobility Options Voucher Pilot Program (CMO). The CMO program will increase access to clean mobility options in disadvantaged communities, reduce greenhouse gas emissions GHG) and criteria pollutants, increase the uptake of zero-emission vehicles, and improve air quality and public health in the State’s most vulnerable communities. The City of Chula Vista will lead this program with our support in efforts to create cleaner, greener, more thriving communities.
Circuit Transit Inc is an all-electric shuttle service provider focusing on the first/last mile gap. Since starting as an ad- supported shuttle service in 2011, Circuit has grown to over 120+ all-electric cars and 150+ drivers, nationally. Circuit has nearby operations in San Diego, Orange County, and Los Angeles. Circuit provides all electric solutions that help move people in small areas and bridge gaps between riders and existing transit hubs. Circuit’ s goal is to reduce congestion and its harmful effects on the environment and our quality of life. We do this by getting people out of their cars for short trips, encouraging visitors to park once, and by making connections to existing mass transit hubs. We work with innovative cities, private developers and forward- thinking advertising partners to offer electric shuttles that make mobility easier, smarter, safer, more affordable, and fun.
Circuit is partnering with the City of Chula Vista to provide an on-demand community shuttle service in northwest Chula Vista focused on the local senior community. Circuit is an experienced mobility operator with over 9 years of experience operating similar CARB Clean Mobility Options Grant
