Proclamation
WHEREAS, The City of Cupertino wishes to recognize the efforts of the Cupertino Library Foundation;
WHEREAS, The Cupertino Library Foundation has historically offered diverse programming for the public, including series on literacy and education, films, health and wellness, art, and personal growth; WHEREAS, The Cupertino Library Foundation has provided this continuing and invaluable outreach and programming to our residents while also supporting the Cupertino Library Expansion Project during a challenging time of the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic;
WHEREAS, Despite the multitude of challenges during this time, the Foundation has set forth meaningful programming of interest to our community while helping Cupertino navigate the
unprecedented challenges of the pandemic in a manner that helped make the City an exemplar of care and efficacy;
WHEREAS, The Cupertino Library Foundation, recognizing that the residents of Cupertino greatly value their Library, has placed as one of the organization’s highest priorities support for the Cupertino Library Expansion Project and its community-oriented spaces; and WHEREAS, The City of Cupertino expresses its sincere appreciation to the Cupertino Library Foundation and the organization’s efforts in consistently supporting and serving our residents and community.
THEREFORE, I, Mayor Darcy Paul, and the Cupertino City Council do hereby Proclaim January 18, 2022 as:
Cupertino Library Foundation Day
and we thank the many board members, volunteers and supporters for their hard work and dedication to the Cupertino Library Foundation and the City of Cupertino.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Cupertino to be affixed this Tuesday, January Eighteenth, Two Thousand and Twenty Two.
