MAYOR MEI REFERRAL: Referral for Consideration of the Initiation of Censure Proceedings
This item requests that the City Council consider initiating censure proceedings to determine whether Councilmember Cox violated the City of Fremont City Council Handbook, Chapter 1, section D, which defines the role and responsibilities of the Mayor, as well as, Appendix D, which details the Ceremonial Document Request procedure.
This referral requests that the City Council initiate the censure process by directing City staff to return to provide a summary of censure procedures, including of any due process requirements, for the Council’s review.
