RESOLUTION 2026 - ###
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINCOLN
APPROVING THE SALARY SCHEDULE FOR THE NEWLY ESTABLISHED SENIOR PROPERTY AND EVIDENCE TECHNICIAN CLASSIFICATION.
WHEREAS, the Police Department has conducted an evaluation of their staffing needs; and
WHEREAS, there was a need to establish a senior-level Property and Evidence Technician to lead the Police Department’s crime scene investigation and property and evidence management services; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager approved the establishment of the Senior Property and Evidence Technician classification; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 2.41.030 of the City of Lincoln’s municipal code identifies that the City Council shall establish the compensation, salary ranges and intermediate salary steps for all classifications.
WHEREAS, Section 570.5 of the California Code of Regulations (Employees’ Retirement System Regulations), requires that a pay schedule be duly approved and adopted by the employer’s governing body in accordance with requirements of applicable public meeting laws.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Lincoln authorizes:
Section 1. The adoption of the salary schedule for the newly established Senior Property and Evidence Technician classification.
