PATROL – ONGOING
• On April 1st – April 2nd, dispatch received numerous calls regarding a suspicious male in the area of Church Ave/W H St who was suspected of breaking into homes.
Officers responded to the following calls: a report of a male utilizing a resident’s laundry machine in their garage then fled through the backyard, a report of a male breaking items and hiding in a bush with a fire extinguisher, and a report of a male knocking on the front and backdoor of a home. An officer was patrolling the area and smelt smoke and sourced it to a car port nearby. The electrical box was engulfed in flames and began traveling up the wall. Officers attempted to put out the fire and evacuated that side of the apartment complex. Further investigation uncovered possible arson along with other charges. The male was located, arrested, and booked into county jail.
• On April 6th, officers responded to the area of E F St/N 8th Ave in Oakdale regarding a vehicle accident with injuries. Upon arrival one of the drivers showed signs of intoxication. The occupants of the vehicle involved in the collision were transported to the hospital for their injuries. The subject was arrested and booked into county jail for driving under the influence causing bodily injury.
• On April 13th, officers were conducting a foot patrol in the area of N Yosemite Ave/E F St and heard a loud banging and crashing noise. Officers quickly located a male who was standing next to a sunshade that had appeared to have been ripped off the back of a nearby business. The male had an odor of an alcoholic beverage upon his person and slurred speech. Further investigation revealed that the subject had an outstanding warrant. The male was later booked for his warrant and additional charges.
