challenges. Agency bonds and securities generally carry the same rating as the U.S. government, which is currently rated Aa1 by Moody’s, and AA+ by both S&P and Fitch Ratings. Staff will continue to monitor and work with the City’s investment advisor to ensure the investment portfolio is sound.
Conclusion:
As of July 31, 2025, the City’s portfolio remains highly rated, liquid, and stable. All investments are maintained in accordance with California Government Code Section 53601 and the City’s investment policy, which was approved by the City Council on April 8, 2025.
