Please state reasons for why you want to become a member of this committee, including what specific objectives you would be working toward as a member:

I believe I can bring a valuable and often-missing perspective to this committee, especially when it comes to bridging the communication gaps that have long existed between the community, the council, and off-campus housing operators. I've been actively involved in our monthly off-campus housing meetings, so i understand the challenges and opportunities from multiple sides and feel I can be a productive voice in the room.

My goal is to help bridge those gaps, improve communication, and find common-sense solutions that balance the needs of the community with the realities of the university and the growing demand for off-campus housing.

Any other information which you feel would be useful to the City Council in reviewing your application:

I'mthe second or third largest property manager for off-campus housing near SCU, managing about 20 properties in Santa Clara overall. This experience gives me a strong understanding of the local housing landscape, the needs of both students and long-term residents, and the practical realities of operating housing in this community.

Please state reasons for why you want to become a member of this committee, including what specific objectives you would be working toward as a member:

As the Assistant Portfolio Manager at Prodesse Property Group, 1 help oversee four student-occupied homes near Santa Clara University. Given my role, I see this committee as a valuable opportunity to contribute to meaningful solutions that impact both the neighborhood and the students we house.

I'm particularly interested in helping bridge the gap between landlords and non-landlords in the community by offering insight into the unique challenges we face in managing student housing. I belleve that with open communication and collaboration, we can foster greater understanding and identify practical, balanced solutions that serve everyone's interests.

Any other information which you feel would be useful to the City Council in reviewing your application:

I find it deeply rewarding to provide input on community matters and to engage with others-both protessionally and personally. Through this committee, I hope to share ideas, build relationships, and support efforts that lead to a more cohesive and well-informed neighborhood

Please state reasons for why you want to become a member of this committee, Including what specific objectives you would be working toward as a member:

I am interested in being the landlord part of this committee. My desire is personal because my niece will be attending SCU this fall, I own a rental within the old quad boundaries additionally I want students and residents to live harmoniously and productively without incidents while keeping landlords aware of the Neighborhood University Relations Committee's efforts to make Santa Clara University students living the best it can be. One concer I have and would like to address are the number of accidents that occur at the intersection of Monroe and Newhall. I realize only one corner, the north east corner of the intersection is within the city of Santa Clara boundaries; however the ntersection is traveled often at a high rate of speed and is an unprotected left turn from Monroe onto Newhall. Last April a sign was posted on the signal above Monroe Street but this has not seemed to prevent the many accidents that occur there. South on Monroe is the route to the Valley Fair Mall where students and residents shop.

Any other Information which you feel would be useful to the City Council in reviewing your application:

I have lived and worked in Santa Clara over 20 years. I am proud to be a Santa Clara resident and a landlord. currently have tenants in my property and have included the lease. I have knowledge and value to add to the committee and through my local connections l am able to spread the message of the NUR committee. I look forward to being a part of this new chapter.
