BACKGROUND
Town Center Hall is a key facility used for City events, community meetings, and other important functions. The interior has not undergone significant maintenance or renovation in several years, and its current condition is not consistent with the desired aesthetic or functional standard. As such, this project aims to improve the facility's aesthetic appeal, comfort, and usability for residents and staff.

ANALYSIS
The Plans and Specifications for this project are now complete. The project involves furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals as required for the scope of work. The general items include: Removal of carpet and replacement with vinyl flooring in select areas; and Interior painting of rooms, hallways, and offices. This project will enhance the visual appeal and functionality of the Town Center Hall. Vinyl flooring has been chosen due to its durability and ease of maintenance, making it a suitable long-term solution. The painting will refresh the interior spaces, making them more welcoming for the various activities held in the facility.

The cost estimate of $175,000 is based on similar projects recently completed in the region. Upon City Council approval, the Public Works Department will proceed with advertising the project for construction bids.

ENVIRONMENTAL
There is no environmental impact associated with this action as this project consists of interior maintenance improvements and does not involve changes to land use or external structures.

DISCUSSION
Town Center Hall plays a central role in hosting community events, and its current state has prompted the need for renovation. The replacement of the flooring and painting of the interior will improve not only the building's appearance but also its functionality for daily use.

A copy of the Plans and Specifications for the project will be on file with the City Clerk and available for review upon request. These specifications meet the required standards and have been prepared in collaboration with the Public Works Department to ensure the project’s successful completion.
