1 Monthly Achievements & Activities
●At the request of Council, the proposed revisions to the existing Airport Ordinance that was presented on August 13th were modified and reduced to the specific language ordered by the FAA Director in his determination regarding the Part 16 complaint. Staff invited the tenants and stakeholders to attend a special meeting at the Airport on August 17th to further discuss the ordinance changes, express concerns, and ask questions for clarification. Of the attendees, it was unanimously agreed to remove the additional proposed language and present the ordinance revisions as directed in order to satisfy the FAA requirements. One tenant provided their input directly to Council in a series of emails prior to the meeting. ● The lease agreement for the use of O28 between REACH, LLC and the City of Willits was renewed per the existing contract on the second eligible 5-year extension. Slight increases to the monthly rent were applied under the existing contract provisions using the Consumer Price Index. Flow fees were also added as an addendum to the lease agreement for the amount of .25 cents/per gallon of Jet A fuel purchased and delivered to the Airport beginning the 1st of October 2025.
