Subject: Fwd: May 10, 2022 Agenda Item No. 6a
To the Mayor, Vice Mayor, City Councilmembers and Staff, I am contacting you as a resident of Concord’s Holbrook Heights community, and specifically about agenda item no. 6a. I ask that you choose alternative #1 to contribute more funding to complete paving Holbrook Heights’ streets as ONE PROJECT. Last year you approved only Zone 5M (half of Holbrook Heights). The other half (Zone 5H) was the area Contra Costa Water District (CCWD) replaced some of its pipeline leaving our streets looking like a patchwork quilt.
I learned that slurry couldn’t be added because it wouldn’t adhere due to the age of our streets.
The City of Concord and CCWD lost an opportunity to coordinate their capital improvement projects. Holbrook Heights is a community association that cares about its neighborhood. Please contribute more funding so that all our streets can be paved as one project. Thank you.

To the Mayor, Vice Mayor, City Council Members and Staff:
My name is Kelly Van Boekhout and I am Holbrook Heights, Concord, homeowner.
In regards to agenda item 6a, I am urging you to approve alternative #1 to properly fund the repaving of the streets in Holbrook Heights as ONE project.
While I understand CCWD created the currently horrendous condition of our streets, repairing the situation is now in your hands.
Thank you for the consideration and your dedication to Concord.
Sincerely,
Kelly Van Boekhout
